How's it going, America,
Check out our latest episode of The Pod Millennial! I talk to Adam Coleman about who's really behind the wheel of America's big rigs, and how unqualified drivers ended up operating some of the most dangerous vehicles on our highways. New episodes drop every Tuesday! Listen, rate (5 stars, of course!), and subscribe!
Let's get into it:
Across the board, Democrats delivered a stunning rout to Republicans. The GOP lost 5 gubernatorial races in Georgia, Iowa, Texas, Ohio, and Nevada. Democrats flipped 7 Senate seats to walk away with an unequivocal majority in that body, delivering Maine, Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Kansas. In the House, the damage was even more severe. The Democrats hold 228 seats, 10 more than was needed for control, with flips of seats across the country and some races still too close to call.
This election was a total referendum on the war in Iran and gas prices. Americans kept saying it, and it was pretty clear that no one in the administration was really listening. Gas is expensive. Housing is expensive. The war is stupid. All these things were made clear by voters. And so here we are.
The thing is, the public believed Trump's promises and when those were broken, they decided to believe Democrats' promises. Those are lies too and will soon be broken. That's shockingly clear to anyone who has been paying attention. The GOP did a terrible job of messaging, they did a terrible job of touting their own accomplishments on immigration and the border. And now America will pay the price.

Trump came out swinging at first saying he would wield the veto pen mercilessly when it comes to Democrat priorities and policies. But as the night wore on and the rout became even more decisive, he started to reverse that course, telling one reporter who called that he'd already heard from some Democrats who are interested in working with him. He wouldn't say who.
“We're going to work with the Democrats to make sure things go well for our country,” Trump said. “Very important. They've already called, and they want to work with us. We have the right to veto everything, but I don't want to be just sitting there for two years vetoing everything. They want to see things happen too.
“So I've already spoken to certain leaders of the Democrat Party, and we'll probably. You know, I have a lot of friends at the Democrats, also. It's sort of an interesting."
"Has Hakeem Jeffries called?" Dasha Burns asked.
"I don't want to say who does it, but we'll work with the Democrats, and we'll make things work out well for the country.”
I question that Democrats would want to work with Trump at all. I don't think they do. I think they want to engage in lawfare, investigations, and impeachment. So we'll see what happens. I spoke about these things on Timcast last night where I joined the crew for their election night coverage, and you can check it out
