How's it going, America,
Check out our latest episode of The Pod Millennial! NOW ON VIDEO! I talk to Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec about "Unhumans 2: Socialist Revolution" and concerns about the rise of communism in the US. New episodes drop every Tuesday! Listen, rate (5 stars, of course!), and subscribe!
Let's get into it:
Flying cars, another school shooting, a thwarted shooting at a Hindu temple, and women are still screaming—literally—about an alleged rape case at Cornell from 2 years ago. I'd say welcome to the Modern Age, or the Roaring 20s, but I don't think we know yet what we're calling this odd era at the beginning of the century, that era that, as the next millennium nears, will be forgotten, chalked up to old history, where baggy boyfriend jeans look as dated and antiquated as flapper dresses do to us today.
By this time last century, flying cars were only the stuff of sci-fi, imagination, and dreams, but now, as of yesterday, Elon Musk has made them a reality. These cars can drive upside down, flip around, and take off into the air. Even more, no one will need a pilot's license to operate them because they will be all on auto-drive. Soon, those who can afford to won't even have to share the roads with the rest of us plebes.
A 16-year-old broke into an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, shooting through locked security doors and opening fire on three students and a teacher, killing them all and wounding two others, before a dad, according to dispatch, pulled out his own gun and fired on the shooter, killing him. Not much is known yet about the teen who sought murder and death, but already lawmakers, like Ron Wyden, are blaming Republicans for the shooting, calling for gun control. Meanwhile, in Oregon, there are already laws against 16-year-olds owning guns, and it's a good thing this dad had a gun, or else more children and teachers may have been killed.
The New York Times, the Associated Press, and other outlets all referred to Paporakis, who is trans, as "he" even though he identifies as "she." This may seem like small potatoes, but they have called other mass shooters, from the trans male who shot up the Annunciation School in Minneapolis to the Tumbler Ridge shooter, as "she." This Illinois guy didn't even kill anyone, yet the outlets won't use his preferred pronouns. Could it be that the lefty legacy media doesn't want to claim the Illinois shooter for their trans cause because he was racist? Could it be that they only adhere to their ideological claims when it suits their cause? I know it's small, but I find this kind of hypocrisy maddening.
In Las Vegas, a bunch of angry gals got together on a rooftop to have a "collective scream" about the Cornell rape case. They stood on a rooftop, opened their mouths, and actually screamed. They just stood there and screamed. It reminded me of when I was 11 and all the girls in the neighborhood got together to have a screaming contest to see who could scream the loudest and all the dads would come running, fearing some catastrophe. These women were also pretty much screaming for sh*ts and giggles. The woman about whom they are screaming consented to sex while intoxicated and then when her reputation was destroyed and the men she had sex with didn't even want to be around her, she was devastated and claimed she'd been raped. It was the only way to save her virtue—it was still safe if she hadn't given it away.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
Libby
