Let's get into it:
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, and the Gaza contingent showed up in force. They marched around with their signs, reading "Board of Butchers" with images of Trump and Bibi, "UN Member States Sanction Israel Now," and "Down with Imperialism."
They chanted: "Long live the intifada!" "Get the bombs on the board, we declare a class war!" "No war but the class war!" "Block the bombs on Iran, block the bombs on Lebanon, block the bombs on Palestine, no more killing on our dime!"
Celebrities shut down streets as Susan Sarandon and Elliot Page sat down in the street and refused to move. The NYPD moved in and made mass arrests of about 100 people, including hauling off NYC DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo, DSA House candidate Darializa Chevalier, City Council member Chi Osse and Assembly member Emily Gallagher.
Inside the UN, many diplomats walked out before Netanyahu was able to deliver his remarks. Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Palestinian people, gave his speech remotely because the United States would not allow the leader to enter the country. Palestinian terrorists launched a massacre against Israel in 2023, and in response, Israel, a much more powerful nation, responded with unequivocal force.
That doesn't matter to the pro-Palestinian contingent, who see violence as their right. They take over streets and campuses, they boycott musicians and deplatform performers. They take every issue and make it about Gaza, claiming climate justice runs through Gaza, or that there's no reproductive freedom without liberating Gaza, or that backing Israel is racist even though many millions of Arabs live and thrive in Israel.
The pro-Palestine crowd has funneled all their sense of self and morality into protesting against the Democratic Jewish state. And they won't rest until they burn down America or some new cause comes along.
