Let's get into it:
The WNBA held its emergency meeting last night to determine if men should be permitted to play in the women's basketball league—and they decided not to decide. That's right, the league that is all about women playing basketball doesn't know what a woman is. They addressed what they called "hate" but did not get into eligibility, saying instead that they would keep talking.
Here's what they said: "Today's meeting covered a wide range of topics, including ongoing discussions on transgender athletes and the continued hate and vitriol directed at players online. We will continue to engage all league stakeholders in the coming weeks and months. We will approach these important conversations thoughtfully and in alignment with the values of our league. There are no immediate eligibility matters affecting the WNBA, and we strongly denounce the bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others."
The meeting comes just a few days after Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White told critics to "go to hell," after telling reporters love will win. "The hate, the fear-mongering, the divisiveness, the stuff that’s trying to hijack our league will not win. It won’t win. We are united. We are connected. We will not be divided," she said. "Every day, these women put their a** on the line. Every day. When they go low, we go high. Love will win. Grace will win. Humility will win, and kindness will win. I stand by them. I will always stand by them. Everybody else can go to Hell."
There are no trans players currently in the WNBA, but the ones who have played in the league, including some non-binary players, have all been female. Two former NBA players have announced their eligibility for the WNBA, saying that they've entered their "feminine era." Critics have said that there's no way these fellas could play in the WNBA because they're not really trans women.
Now, the critics claim that there's some difference between trans women and regular men after years of telling us that gender self-ID is the benchmark. Trans advocates say that the two NBA players should take hormones and cut their dicks off and stuff, saying that this would prove they were sincere in their convictions.
Notably, they do not have the same standards for convicted criminals who want to transfer for women's prisons, or for rapists who force their victims to call them "she" and "her" when giving witness testimony in court, for high school or college athletes who want to swim or run on women's teams, or for men in dresses and lipstick parading their fetish on TikTok. So why the increased scrutiny for these world-class players?
We all know why. It's because trans women are not women and everyone knows it. The lie is being made transparent by the very people who want us to believe it the most.
