Let's get into it:
On Tuesday night, the team at The Post Millennial was eagerly watching the results pour in from Michigan's senate race between far-left, DSA-adjacent, Islamist candidate Abdul El-Sayed and normie Dem Haley Stevens. As we watched and waited, as the vote count climbed to 95% then over without a winner being called, another, much stranger story began to emerge.
Celebrity blogger and streamer Perez Hilton went on TikTok live, streaming for a half hour before the very disturbing video was removed, causing fans and rubberneckers alike to have strong concerns about his and his family's safety. Hilton was seen naked covered in blood wielding a knife. He used the knife to cut himself.
As we kept our eyes on Michigan, realizing that the race would not be over that night, we could not help but look to Miami where the horror was unfolding. On X, users reported what they heard over police scanners. Other streamers released their videos saying what they believed was happening and recounting what they saw on his video stream. Hilton's viewers were the ones to call 911 and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's office responded to the scene.
They released a statement saying "Deputies quickly located the individual's residence, where they spoke with family members on the scene, and confirmed he was alone inside." They went on to say that "deputies have tactically disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation." Meanwhile, news crews were arriving at the Hilton home. One reporter said they could see him nude and covered in blood through a window.
Hilton is the father of three children, ages 9 to 13, who he obtained through surrogacy. However, another reporter said that Hilton was alone at the time and that his children were not home while he engaged in this self-harm. He urged people not to watch it, and after seeing still images from the video, I determined myself to not seek it out. It is out there, though.
He was taken away in an ambulance. The Miami Dade Sheriff's office has not yet confirmed that the individual who was taken away was Perez Hilton, but Hilton's management team released a statement. "We are aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client, Perez Hilton," said Golden Artists Entertainment. "At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez’s health and well-being, as well as the well-being of his family. Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further."
Hilton had only just moved back to his hometown of Miami after living in Las Vegas, saying he wanted to raise his children where he grew up. We'll be watching the story and praying for Hilton's recovery. Michigan was eventually called for El-Sayed on Wednesday morning, but the verdict for Hilton is far more uncertain.
