Check out our latest episode of The Pod Millennial! I talk to Ari Hoffman and Riley Lewis about Spencer Pratt, California, and the Muslim socialist takeover of the Democrat Party. New episodes drop every Tuesday! Listen, rate (5 stars, of course!), and subscribe!

Let's get into it:

There's another pre-trial hearing coming up in the Tyler Robinson case in Utah. This time, Judge Tony Graf will rule on whether or not the prosecution was in violation of court orders by speaking to the press about the case in the days following Robinson's apprehension by law enforcement. We'll be covering the hearing and will have breaking news out as soon as Judge Graf makes his ruling.

The Iran war is still in flux, with the back-and-forth over will-we-or-won't-we driving us all a bit nuts. I think the truth of the matter is that if gas got down to a nice, reasonable amount per gallon, and we were able to engage in summer driving season as worry-free as possible. I'm now at the point where I clock gas prices as I drive around and plan out where I get it, whereas I used to be that person who just fueled up whenever I needed it. I'd love to go back to being gas carefree.

The hoax that Karmelo Anthony was convicted by an all-white jury continues, with even his own father, who was in the courtroom, spreading the rumor that the jury was white. That supposition was made when it was reported that prosecutors had struck the last three eligible black jurors from the pool. We're so conditioned to think in terms of black and white that we think "oh, if they're not black, they must be white." But of course, there's a whole beige to brown rainbow of skin tones between white and black.

Cardi B weighed in, too, saying "I sure learned something from this. I learned to tell my sons: do not argue with no white boys, because baby, ain't no law protecting you if something goes down with them. That's what I learned from this case." She added that she told them to "walk the f*ck away" if they start arguing with a white boy, because, in her opinion, "the law don't protect [black people]." Well, no, Ms. B, the law should not protect anyone from the consequences of murdering another human being.

And finally, I saw Backrooms last night. I was intrigued by the YouTube-to-big-screen journey of the film, the indie nature of it, and the usage of the found footage frame. I gotta say, it was super creepy, and I definitely flinched a few times, tucked my legs up into my chair, and perhaps hid my eyes one or two times.

But watching it with the teen (formerly the child) led to really interesting conversations on the drive home about the nature of reality, memory, human history, and even prehistoric ancestors. So if you've got a teen, with whom it is not always super easy to connect, I recommend taking them to the weird movie of their choice—better if the movie theater is at least a half hour away, so there's more time to talk after.

I hope you all have a great weekend!
