Let's get into it:

18-year-old UK student Henry Nowak was stabbed to death on December 3, 2025 as he headed home from drinks with his football club in Southampton, England. He was walking home, making Snapchat videos, when 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh carrying a 21-centimeter ceremonial knife, used it to stab Nowak. Nowak ran, attempting to climb over a fence, but was pursued by Digwa, who finished the job.

Digwa’s mother apparently arrived on the scene before the police, with his mother hiding the knife and his brother phoning the police to say Digwa had been racially abused by the dying teen. When police arrived, they believed Digwa. They cuffed Nowak, even reading him his rights as he lay dying on the streets. The police officers put more stock in the misdirecting words spoken by an unrepentant killer and his attendant family than they did in a dying boy.

At the trial, Digwa was convicted and sentenced to life in prison with parole possible after 20 years—a short term for murder. Nowak's father spoke out following the verdict, saying he had just taken his son to university a few weeks before he was killed. "I couldn't help Henry in his final moments," he said, "and there is nothing I can do to bring him back. I'm so sorry that I let this happen." He blamed himself. Digwa's mother hid the murder weapon after her son brutally stabbed Nowak 5 times.

Even in sentencing, Judge Mousely told Digwa "You have brought shame on your family, your community and your religion. Your actions have stirred up racial tension, which has made many Sikhs worried about their safety." The judge appeared more concerned with backlash against the group Digwa belonged to than with Digwa's murderous actions.

Once the body cam footage was released, the absolute farce of justice was revealed. Nowak's father described the horrific events, "With his final breaths, he told the officers that he could not breathe. He told them he had been stabbed. In fact, Henry told the officers that he could not breathe nine times. He told them he had been stabbed four times.

"The response from one officer was, 'I don’t think you have, mate.' Henry was then pulled across the gravel, his hands forced behind his back, and he was placed in handcuffs. Instead of being treated as a dying victim, police formally arrested Henry for assault and read him his rights. That was the last thing he heard. Henry did not die with dignity. He did not die with the care he deserved. He lost consciousness before anyone believed him."

A police officer resigned following the release. In a statement from the Hampshire Police, they complained about the "significant commentary" following the sentencing and trial. They said they know people have a "desire for answers about the police response that night." And then they said they "cannot accept" the "significant spread of misinformation online by those intent of causing further fear and division..."

That's their main concern. Protests broke out following the sentencing and, the absurd Starmer government defense by Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood of carrying religious knives even as British citizens are banned from carrying pepper spray.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the body cam footage was "harrowing" and agreed with the call for a review. Mahmood warned against allowing the case to "turn communities against one another."

Reform UK's Nigel Farage said "We're living in a two-tier culture... where the rights and privileges of white people matter less than those of ethnic minorities." Kemi Badenoch accused Farage of "deepening divisions" while also raising concerns about "two-tier policing." She notably backed protesters during the George Floyd era.

Over a thousand protesters chanted "two tier scum" and "shame on you" at police near the crime scene where a demonstration kicked off. Tommy Robinson, a British nationalist activist, said "if Henry (Nowak) wasn't white he wouldn't have been handcuffed" and "as white people we are treated as second-rate citizens by our own police force."

The evidence shows that Digwa was believed by officers because he was brown and claimed racial injustice, and that Nowak was not believed because he was white and police have been taught to treat white people differently. Intentional racial bias against white people cost this 18-year-old his life.
