Anonymous British artist Banksy has dropped a new statue in the center of London, near Pall Mall and Waterloo Place (if I mapped it out correctly), that shows a man in a suit blinded by his own waving flag about to step off a pedestal and crash into the street. The statue stands near an equestrian statue of Edward VII, as well as one of Churchill, and what's notable about it is just how anti-nationalist and anti-British it is.
The man is wearing a suit, meaning he's basically a middle or upper-middle-class working man. He's waving a flag, and based on his attire, we know he's not some kind of activist—the activist class doesn't wear suits, at least not when they're out there waving their flags. Perhaps Banksy is trying to say that people who wave flags around can be blinded by their own ideology, and for sure, that's part of the human condition within civilization.
But I don't think this is an equal opportunity drubbing, I think it's about the recent attempts by the English to put an end to the over Islamification of their nation and to reclaim the UK for the native people of that nation. Leaders will not name the threat, either. Instead, they waltz around the issue and avoid saying that it is the massive number of imported migrants who hate England's customs and values who are causing mayhem.
In a recent clip, an English man asked some women on a panel about "what can be done to protect the Jewish community," where "this racial hatred is coming from." The women cited economic issues as leading to "racial hatred"—but they did not cite the clear and obvious problem of Muslim migrants from the global south coming into the UK with no plans to assimilate, bringing their own cultural hatreds, and living them out in the streets of England.
A report aired on Channel 4 reveals that white working class boys are suffering under the new regimes that prioritize and reward migrants and their bad behavior over native boys. England lost nearly 1.5 million young men in two world wars, and now they're losing their young men to cultural and societal neglect. England just doesn't seem to value the English.
These attitudes are already here in the US, as well. And that's a concern. We must value our country, our culture, our customs, and our young men. Without these things, we are not a country but an economic zone. Also, Banksy played himself out as an anti-western propagandist, just like so many ideologically captured artists who hail from western nations and don't see that the very foundations they are sh*tting on are what make it possible for them to do their work.
