How's it going America,

Check out our latest episode of The Pod Millennial! I sit down with Jennifer Sey — former athlete, Levi's exec, and founder of XX-XY Athletics — to talk about why she gave up her career to stand up for female athletes, what really happened at Levi's, and the ideology erasing women from their own sports. Brand new episodes drop every Tuesday! Listen, rate (5 stars, of course!), and subscribe!

Let's get into it:

Virginia voters head to the polls today and we'll have to see if the state decides to sell out conservative voters by essentially revoking 4 GOP-held congressional seats or not. The bill, backed by Governor Abigail Spanberger, who ran her campaign as a moderate and is anything but, would allow the state lawmakers to redraw congressional maps to favor Democratic voters in the state.

The plan is similar to the one Gavin Newsom pushed forward in California where voters decided to bypass their own state constitution to allow the legislature to redraw the map to exclude conservatives. In Virginia, this redrawn map would go into effect ahead of the midterms, which is key because Democrats are intent on winning the House and taking power away from the GOP—not that the GOP has done much with it.

Regardless of what their opposition is doing, however, Democrats are intent on this national power grab. Speaking to AI Hunt on his podcast, Democrat strategist James Carville made very clear what he thinks the Democrats' plans should be: make Puerto Rico and Washington, DC states, pack the Supreme Court, and most importantly, don't tell voters this is what they're planning to do. That's how we end up with people like Spanberger claiming they're moderate while all the while harboring intentions to sell out half their state.

Under Spanberger, the legislature has banned ICE from enforcing federal immigration law, expanded ranked-choice voting, made it harder to remove ineligible voters, and signed a compact to award the state's electoral voters to whoever wins the popular vote nationally. Which is insane! Gerrymandering is already so crazy across the US that the entire region of New England, an area that votes about 40% GOP, has absolutely zero GOP congressmen to represent them in the federal government.

If progressive Democrats who claim to be moderates have their way, the same will be true for Virginia and California. Barack Obama has backed the plan, putting out an ad telling Virginians to vote yes. The Honest Election Project says that "far from ‘strengthening democracy,’ Virginia’s 2026 session is a case study in the left’s agenda to trade election security for political advantage." And it's true, because the core goal is power, not representation.
