How's it going America,

Check out our latest episode of The Pod Millennial! I sit down with Nicki Neily of Parents Defending Education to discuss just how deeply activist ideology has taken hold in public schools—and, more importantly, what you can actually do about it. Let's get into it:

On Tuesday, the Trump administration broke ground on the Northeast Supply Enhancement Pipeline (NESE). The project will bring natural gas from Pennsylvania into downstate New York, namely Long Island and New York City. EPA head Lee Zeldin was on hand for the groundbreaking of the project, which is set to come online by the end of 2027.

The new pipeline will provide energy for about 2.3 million homes and Zeldin has said that he wants to extend it up into New England, as well. New York and New England have been essentially fossil fuel-averse, pushing programs that lean into sustainable energy resources. But this should lower energy costs for many who live in one of the most expensive regions in the United States.

"We have been advocating for another pipeline, called Constitution Pipeline, to get built, to deliver natural gas from Pennsylvania to New England. President Trump is a builder. He wants to build pipelines all across America. NESE should be the start. It shouldn't just be a one-and-done, but this is a pretty big one to celebrate," Zeldin said.

"This natural gas pipeline will strengthen energy reliability, affordability, and economic growth!" The Department of Energy said. Zeldin said New Yorkers are have known their need for more natural gas resources for "a long time" and that Trump had made this project a "top priority" upon taking office.

"For decades," said Energy Secretary Chris Wright, "poor political choices obstructed the building of energy infrastructure, leading to higher energy costs for millions of Americans. President Trump promised to lower energy costs and to get America building again—that is exactly what the groundbreaking of the NESE pipeline will accomplish. This project is a win-win: natural gas is a reliable, low-cost, clean-burning option for New Yorkers to heat and power their homes and businesses. President Trump, Secretary Burgum, Administrator Zeldin and I will continue fighting to build more energy infrastructure so that all Americans have access to affordable, reliable, and secure American energy."

Energy infrastructure can make or break a nation and with this project, Trump is making sure that families and businesses who make their homes in the northeast, which is basically the engine of our nation, are not literally left out in the cold. Ideally, this will bring costs down and will bolster efficient energy resources just as the ideologically captured leaders of those states insist they can get the job done with wind and sun.
