How's it going America,

Check out our latest episode of The Pod Millennial! I talk to Jack Human Events Daily's Jack Posobiec about his Lord of the Rings comments that broke the internet. Our brand new episodes drop every Tuesday! Listen, rate (5 stars, of course!), and subscribe!

Let's get into it:

The ladies of The View went totally outer limits this week when they took aim at The Daily Wire's Isabel Brown for her advocacy for family. Brown was speaking on the main stage at CPAC Dallas when she said:

"If you're not encouraging your children to grow up and have the courage to get married and have kids, more kids than they can afford before they think they're ready, it is high time to start. It is these choices, like deleting our dating apps and quitting birth control pills and saying I do at the altar that ultimately trickle down into the political policies that we will see save our country," Brown said.

Whoopi Goldberg got big laughs from her cohort before she even said anything because they all knew that she was going to yell about how advocacy for motherhood and marriage has no place in feminism. And she did. But what came from the mouths of the ladies of The View was actually pretty shockingly misinformed.

Whoopi claimed government programs like childcare had been cut because "they used to come after women of color and accuse women of color of doing this very thing." I don't even know what that means. Sara Haines said Brown's comments "wraps a woman's worth up in her ovaries."

Haines claimed that "the whole women's movement was not about bucking the trend of staying at home or loving tradition. It was giving women a choice to do what they wanted." That's not exactly true. The women's movement shamed women who chose motherhood and being homemakers over having a career, especially if those women were not wealthy. She claimed that most women "want to have children" and that they don't have them because they haven't found a suitable partner.

That's EXACTLY what Brown meant by "courage." To make a family, you have to take a risk. You don't know how it will turn out, but in having children the juice is always worth the squeeze, and Brown is right that someone should tell young people that—and no one is. Young women and men are told repeatedly, in all aspects of culture, that personal fulfillment through career and sexual promiscuity are the most important avenues for them to pursue in life.

But then Haines really started making stuff up: "The world has over 8 billion people. We no longer need to force people to procreate and pump out babies. We have arrived here. Women now and girls now have a choice." Haines used that tired, broken message from the 1970s that said overpopulation would be the biggest problem facing mankind.

What we know now is that the world is heading for a population collapse. Not just in Western and developed nations is this a problem, but in the global south. People are not having children anymore, and that is the issue, not overpopulation. Haines has been sadly misinformed. Ana Navarro said men should be "called" to be responsible. And of course, they are, but in Navarro's view, Brown was "lecturing women what they have to do or not to do," and she said, "if you're not paying my bills, you don't get to tell me what I do with my uterus."

The thing is, Brown said, "ENCOURAGING YOUR CHILDREN," she was talking about men and women, not just women. These View harpies think that because Brown is a woman she was only talking to women. Their sexist bias was at play here, not Brown's.

Navarro complained that "these are the same people who support Donald Trump," as if that alone is reason to question or doubt entirely Brown's point of view. Whitney Cummings said Brown would rethink her choices after her child grew up a little and was more difficult to parent. She then indicated that raising her toddler was super hard, and she could barely get him to put on his pants half the time. It's super trendy lo these past several decades to be a mommy complainer.

Sunny Hostin weighed in to say kids just aren't that affordable these days, and so it was "reckless" for Brown to be "suggesting that people should have children when you now know, in this country there's this affordability crisis, and for a two-person household, a married household, you need over $400,000 for childcare." That's no reason to sacrifice your own life to childlessness. Life isn't some slog to be gotten through, it's like the only actual thing that matters.

"Most people don't make over $400,000," Hostin said, "so she's advocating for people to be born into poverty, people not being able to feed those children, people not being able to educate those children, and people not being able to house those children. At the same time, when this government is cutting all of the services that would allow people to have families and big families, you."

They all made excuses for not having children. They all thought they were debunking what Brown said. But in fact, they were proving her point entirely. Successful women, even those with children, advocate against motherhood, advocate against having children. The irresponsible ones are those who steer women away from the very thing that most women, deep down, really want—and if they don't want it when they're young, just let them wait until their late 30s when they discover it's likely just too late.
