How's it going America,

Check out the latest episode of The Pod Millennial in which I talk to Phil Labonte, lead singer of All That Remains and co-host of Timcast IRL, all about American music. I also talk to Olympian Katie Uhlaender about what cost her a spot on the US Skeleton team this year and Pamela Garfield-Jaeger about the crashing end of the trans craze. You won't want to miss it! Subscribe, rate (5 stars, of course), and listen.

Let's get into it:

News emerged last night of a horrific school shooting in the tiny British Columbia town of Tumbler Ridge. The town of 2,400 is situated in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, and the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, for grades 7-12, has only 160 students. Students barricaded themselves in classrooms, shoving tables against the doors, as they got texts showing images of the carnage that took place.

Jesse Strang, first identified as a "gunperson," called a "female in a dress with brown hair," turned out to be a trans person, a male, who appears to have shot two in a home before setting his sights on the school. Six were found dead in the school. Another person died while being transported to a hospital. Two others are in critical condition, while 25 others were injured. Strang then shot himself.

The reporting on the identity of the shooter was complicated by the Canadian habit of calling men in dresses women and using preferred pronouns even for killers, rapists, and criminals. When the Strang crime is tallied up in crime stats, it will be listed under the category of crimes committed by women. The reason for this is that Canada, like many other nations in the Anglosphere, has taken to lying in a vain attempt to protect the delusional.

Meanwhile in Tucson, Arizona, the Guthrie family still waits for answers about the location and safety of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who was abducted from her home 10 days ago. Video has now come out from the Nest surveillance camera on the front of her home, showing a masked man with a mini flashlight in his mouth, wearing a backpack, on her front porch around the time she was kidnapped.

A suspect was arrested and then released when he turned out not be the guy. A little bit of Bitcoin went into the account for the Guthrie ransom. But now it appears that the investigation may be cold again. And of course, there's the grim reality that Guthrie may not have been able to survive her ordeal. Yesterday, as reporters and live streamers crowded the street where Guthrie's home is located, police had to warn them not to have food delivered to the crime scene. A pizza was delivered to a live streamer, and reporters watched as a Dominos delivery driver literally walked up to the front porch trying to drop off a pie.

Phil Labonte tells Libby Emmons how politics and platforms hollowed out rock music - The Pod Millennial

“There are some people that are conservative in the music world. They tend to keep their heads down and keep their politics a little closer to their chest.”

Bennie Thompson appears to display AI-gen image of Alex Pretti shooting, Border Patrol agent with no head, in Congressional hearing on ICE

Reuters said of the image “The image, however, has visual inconsistencies suggesting the use of AI, including that a kneeling agent is headless.”
