Hi everyone,

Minority Senate Leader Chuck Schumer is coming under fire from his own party. Activist group Indivisible, which backed the "No Kings" protests, has announced a primary challenge leading up to the 2026 midterms in which they will only support Democrat candidates who say they will not support Schumer.

Why are they so mad? Because 8 Senate Democrats broke with Schumer and the party and voted to reopen the government. Everyone on the left blames Schumer for not keeping his party coalition together to make sure the government stayed closed.

Trans activist Charlotte Clymer, who claims to be a "lesbian" after growing his hair long and getting some fake breasts, put out a petition to have Schumer removed from his position of leadership. Talking about it on Bluesky, Clymer told haters "You believe I'm doing this because I personally dislike Mr. Schumer and not because he's been largely incompetent this entire year? Okay then. I can't force you to recognize how bad he is at his job."

Those haters said that instead of going after Schumer, Dems should hold those 8 Dems to account. But the truth is that they won't: why punish 8 Democrats, risking seats in purple strongholds of New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Maine, Virginia, and Illinois when they can just go after one guy for whom they already have their replacement? The plan appears to be to get Schumer out in New York and replace him with AOC.

Who were those 8 Dems that Schumer couldn't wrangle? Senators Catherine Cortez Masto, Dick Durbin, John Fetterman, Maggie Hassan, Tim Kaine, Angus King, Jacky Rosen, and Jeanne Shaheen. They all broke with leadership to get the longest government shutdown in the history of Congress to end. And Schumer is getting all the heat for it while air traffic controllers will get paid—if the House manages to repass the continuing resolution to which the Senate made changes in order to get those 8 Dems on board.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries seems to oppose it. He said he would fight and "continue to wage this fight no matter what comes over to us from the United States Senate." He said the House Dem position is "crystal clear," emphasizing that "we're not gonna support partisan Republican spending bill that continues to gut the healthcare of the American people and we're going to continue the fight to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits."

Jeffries isn't afraid of Schumer and sees that to keep his party's support he's got to veer left. The far-left, well-funded activist contingent is seeking to remove Schumer, AOC is already hinting at a 2028 Senate run. Schumer's days in the Senate are numbered. But it's not just the man whose time is up, it's the establishment, centrist (such as it is) wing of the Democrat Party who are being replaced, quickly and forcefully, with socialists.
