Hi everyone,
"No Kings" protesters were back in action on Saturday, with reportedly some million people taking to their local town squares in cities across the US. Portland, LA and Chicago devolved into riots and arrests were made. The protests are funded and backed by Indivisible, a group funded by George Soros' Open Society Foundations.
This was primarily a protest with lots of older people, and not many on the youth side. Some people were out there playing "Grantifa," meaning grandma Antifa, which I don't think was actually as cute as they thought it was. On social media, lots of the "No Kings" people who don't need their grandkids to show them how to work their computers boasted that they didn't see any counter protesters.

There's a reason for this: we who would have counter protested saw absolutely no need to wander out into our towns and cities to get called Nazis and fascists by a bunch of ill-informed angry people. Our "counter protest" was enjoying our Saturday. A teacher in Chicago joked about Charlie Kirk's murder.
Another protester cosplayed as Kirk's assassin. Kids were encouraged to bash a Trump piñata.
Those of us who simply enjoyed our sunny Saturdays were not delusional enough to think the democratically elected president is a "king," and there's no need to protest their protest against reality. I went and checked out the "No Kings" platform and it's entirely based on false premises.
They say that in June "President Trump’s attempt at a coronation collapsed under the strength of a movement rising against his abuses of power." Only there was no "coronation" planned; there was a military parade. They say he's "sending militarized agents into our communities, silencing voters, and handing billionaires giveaways while families struggle."
Those "militarized agents" are immigration enforcement agents forced to go out into communities to arrest illegal immigrant criminals who local officers will not turn over to the feds due to sanctuary laws. It's literally the intention of blue state Democrats to force federal agents out into communities to stage arrests, and once they're out there, they're going to arrest any criminals—including illegal immigrants—that they find.
It's pretty clear that the Dems kept the government shut down until after these protests, that they don't like Trump but can't even identify policies they don't like other than enforcing federal law, and that the whole thing is just about power, which they have culturally but not politically.
