Did you hear about the Democrat nominee for Virginia AG who revels in a fantasy of murdering his political opponents and watching their wives cradle their dead children? We've been talking about it all weekend, but shockingly (is it really that shocking?) no Democrats pulled their endorsement of Mr. Jay Jones, instead, they backed him even more decisively.
The man joked that his GOP colleagues should be shot and killed yet still the Democrats in Virginia, including gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, still endorse him. Jones made the comments back in 2022 when he was aghast that people were mourning a deceased GOP colleague and said that more should follow.
We've already seen the YouGov polling that shows that 42% of liberals believe that political violence can sometimes be justified, compared to less than 10% of conservatives. And why would Democrats continue endorsing a man who advocated for political violence unless they are in favor of political violence?
"The only way public policy changes is when policymakers feel pain themselves, like the pain that parents feel when they watch their children die from gun violence," Jones said in 2022, doubling down. This is a man who wants to be the top cop in Virginia. And if Virginians go along being spineless, believing Dems that the comments are no big deal, he'll get the job, too.
In Portland, where leftist Antifa militants have been targeting ICE agents since June, reporter Katie Daviscourt was smeared by the Portland Police Bureau which claimed that she was not a reporter but a "counter protester." The sergeant who made this claim insinuated that Katie was responsible for the violence against her because she refused to leave the area and cede the ground to Antifa terrorists.
Sergeant Braun claimed Katie was among "3 counter-protesters [who] continue to be a chronic source of police and medical calls at ICE. Despite repeated advice from officers to stay away from the ICE crowd, they constantly return and antagonize the protesters until they are assaulted or pepper sprayed.
"They refuse or are reluctant to walk away from these confrontations," Braun went on, "even when police are in the area trying to meet with them. They even engage in the same trespassing behavior on federal and trolley property as the main protesters. Aside from the confrontation between opposing protesters, there was no reported activity around ICE that would have otherwise generated a police response."
So to recap: the leftist Dems are cool with violence against their political opponents and when journalists seek to cover it, they're just smeared by captured police. Cool cool.
