Hi everyone,
Another journalist was the target of Antifa in Portland, Oregon overnight. Nick Sortor, who Katie Daviscourt said was "targeted" by Antifa, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He spoke to a reporter after being released from jail this morning and said Antifa was angry with him because he filmed them being pepper sprayed by law enforcement and then crying.
This week has been a tough one for journalists in Rose City, where Katie was assaulted on Tuesday night. The difference between Tuesday and Thursday, however, is that on Thursday there were arrests being made—though it's not clear how many Antifa were arrested—and on Tuesday a Portland "dialogue" officer was not permitted to arrest Katie's attacker, even though she led the officer directly to the girl.

The FBI has made over 100 arrests since June, when the nightly direct actions, as Antifa calls them, began outside the ICE facility there. It was the reporting of intrepid journalists like Katie that brought national attention to what was happening there and the ongoing threat to law enforcement. The Trump administration has promised to send in National Guard troops to protect ICE as they carry out their immigration enforcement.
None of this would have had to happen had the Biden administration actually followed the laws Congress laid out on border security and immigration, but they were too intent on believing themselves to be "compassionate" by encouraging migrants the world over to make the treacherous journey, paying human smugglers and traffickers along the way, to illegally enter the United States.
Meanwhile, the UK is suffering under the weight of their own stupid policies. On Thursday, a Syrian-born man whose parents actually named him Jihad carried out an attack on a synagogue in Manchester, killing two.
What did the protesters do? They all got together outside Prime Minister Keir Starmer's house, waved their flags, and cheered for it. And it's not even clear what they want, except maybe more death. The UK already recognized the legitimacy of the Palestinian state.
