Hi everyone!

RFK Jr has made changes to the recommendations for the Covid vax. He's pulled the emergency use authorization for Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax, saying that healthy children and adults have no reason to get the mRNA drug, but that it should still be available essentially over the counter at pharmacies for those who have underlying respiratory conditions. In response, the Senate freaked out and dragged him in for questioning, but it was really so they could show off for their donors—including those in the pharmaceutical industry. Or at least that's my take.

The Covid vaccine has been contentious since it came on the market, and even Trump was demanding answers in 2023. Let's go back to the summer of 2020, Trump put together Operation Warp Speed, a program to give pharmaceutical companies up front funds to come up with a vaccine to fight the deadly pandemic. Pfizer, which wasn't actually part of the program, came up with the mRNA first, Moderna second, and the FDA took a quick look at them before granting emergency use authorization, meaning they could be deployed to the public without the normal, rigorous testing period.

Once Biden took office, the drug became required for everyone who held a federal government office. People who didn't want to take it were fired. Local governments followed suit and soon firefighters, cops, nurses, and doctors, were all losing their jobs because they didn't want to take the mRNA shot. The shot was called a vaccine despite having little in common with traditional vaccines—mRNA changes the cellular composition of those cells in the body that are infected, it's not an inoculation so much as a transformation. Meanwhile, our loved ones died over Zoom calls while NYC Covid "experts" had drug-fueled orgies.

Joe Biden and Rachel Maddow and all the rest said that if you take the shot you won't get sick and you won't spread it, but shortly after the shots rolled out, that became transparently not true. I took the vaccine in May 2021 just so I could go to restaurants and bars in NYC. By October, I had Covid. Then, about 6 months later I got it again. Then I got it again about a year after that. Now I'm pretty sure that weird, chemical feeling, respiratory ailment that feels like an uber cold will be us forever. The shots don't stop it—so why should the government keep peddling it?

The Senators really tried to hold Kennedy's feet to the fire, but he wasn't having it and he kept lighting matches of his own. When Senator Ron Wyden complained that Kennedy's actions were going to lead to "preventable child deaths," he even shook his fist at Kennedy while he grandstanded. Kennedy responded: "You have sat in that chair for how long, 20, 25 years, while the chronic disease in our children went up to 76%, and you said nothing!"

When Sen Cortez Mastro demanded to know why Kennedy "unilaterally changed the parameters for giving vaccines, making it possible now... that they're gonna hafta go off-label to provide the vaccine for children." Kennedy let her know that she was "just making stuff up!" The new guidance says that healthy children do not need to have access to the Covid shot without a doctor's prescription. And doctor's, of course, can keep prescribing it as necessary.

When it came to CDC staff changes, firings, and resignations, he said "They were all like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. We are the sickest country in the world. That’s why we have to fire people at the CDC. They did not do their job. This was their job to keep us healthy and I need to fire some of those people to make sure this doesn't happen again."

But the biggest bullsh*tter was Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who said "You are effectively denying people vaccines" and that Kennedy "promised that you would not take away vaccines from anyone who wanted them. You just changed the classification of the Covid vaccine... It takes it away if you can't get it from your pharmacy."

"Most Americans will be able to get it from their pharmacy for free," he said, following up with "I never promised that I was going to recommend products with which there is indication. And I know you've taken $855,000 from pharmaceutical companies, Senator." Open Secrets reports that from 1990-2024 Warren has actually accepted $1,224,145 from pharmaceutical and health companies.
