A soccer fan in St. Louis was kicked out of the stadium because he was wearing a MAGA hat. Security told him that political statements aren't allowed.
They even told him that they agreed with the hat, that they were Trump voters, but that it just wasn't allowed.
The fan pointed out that there were plenty of Pride flags around and that those are clearly political statements, but the security guards said no, he would have to go anyway. By the time he stopped arguing and said he'd take off the hat it was too late, and they booted him from the stadium.
Wearing a hat in favor of the president seems like a pretty absurd reason to get kicked out of a soccer game. And the only people who looked silly were the security guards enforcing stupid rules. Having a pretty girl advertise a brand of jeans seems like a crazy reason to call everyone a Nazi, too.
JD Vance addressed that on an episode of the Ruthless podcast, saying "I actually thought that one of the lessons they might take is ‘we’re going to be less crazy.’ And the lesson they have apparently taken is we’re going to attack people as Nazis for thinking Sydney Sweeney is beautiful.
"Great strategy, guys! That’s how you’re going to win the midterm! Especially [with] young American men. So much of the Democrats is oriented around hostility to basic American life. So you have a pretty girl doing a jeans ad and they can’t help but freak out. It reveals a lot more about them than it does us."
The cancel thing just isn't going to work anymore. The moral scolding coming from immoral, unhinged people is meaningless, and I'm glad that we've all seemed to wake up and stop implementing real-world consequences for violating the laws of the leftist thought police.
