Hi everyone!
It turns out that Stephen Colbert's The Late Show was a partisan love fest of liberal guests to the exclusion of anyone with an alternate view. In fact, the show leads the late night line-up in partisanship. Just this year, the show has had 43 leftist guests and zero conservative ones. Since 2022, Colbert had 176 leftist sit across the desk from him and just one Republican.
Newsbusters released the report over the weekend showing that the Colbert-helmed broadcast is the worst offender when it comes to partisan bias on the guest list. Newsbusters managing editor Curtis Houck went as far as to say that "Colbert's show has been late-night group therapy for liberals."

Colbert started out doing a character that was a spoof on Republicans—then that guy became a never Trumper. Even so, demonstrators stepped out in New York to protest the cancelation of the show, which will go off the air in May 2026.
The handful of protesters called the cancelation an attack on the First Amendment, despite the fact that CBS decided to cancel the show for financial reasons. Colbert has asserted that CBS canceled the show in an attempt to curry favor with the Trump administration, which needs to approve a big merger for parent company Paramount.
The real problem is the show isn't funny. It's got top ratings, but as Jay Leno said, the show is only speaking to half the country. That's not how David Letterman was when he started the show back in 1993. I used to watch the show nearly every night back in those days, and while I found the guests to be mostly boring, the monologue was always good for a few laughs.
What isn't funny is the incessant send-up of one half of the American public to the exclusion of the others, the forever bashing of Trump without ever seeing any of the good things. Colbert is the ultimate sufferer of Trump Derangement Syndrome and he looks absurd going on and on for years.
