DNI Tulsi Gabbard on Friday dropped a batch of documents that were all about the Russia collusion hoax that plagued Trump's first term. The documents show in detail how Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama conspired to fabricate the story that Trump worked with Russia in an attempt to steal the presidential election in 2016.
The 100 pages of declassified documents show how Obama set up the Russia collusion hoax to implicate Trump and essentially sabotage his first term in office. Gabbard called it a "treasonous conspiracy."
During his first term, Trump was constantly being accused of having worked with Russia to "steal" the election from Clinton and many Democrats kept saying his presidency was illegitimate because of it. Funny that it wasn't until after the 2020 presidential election that the term "election denier" was coined.
The crazy thing was that the whole Russia collusion thing was manufactured—and believed—despite the intelligence community saying repeatedly that fall, per documents, that there was no indication that Trump was linked up with Russia or that Russia had meaningfully targeted our elections.
Then-DNI James Clapper even said after the 2016 election "we have no evidence of cyber manipulation of election infrastructure intended to alter results." By December 9, 2016, however, despite the lack of evidence, a meeting was held after which, per Gabbard on Sunday morning, Obama directed "the intelligence community, then Obama's ODNI Director Clapper, to produce a document, to produce an intelligence assessment that detailed not if, but how Moscow affected the outcome of the election that had already occurred, electing Donald Trump to the presidency.
"This document that they published in January of 2017 was the foundational groundwork that they continue to reference over and over and over again to enact this years long coup against President Trump."
I think it's clear that if the Democrats hadn't played so dirty this whole time as regards Trump, they'd be better off today instead of a party in shambles. They were so insistent that they had to destroy Trump by any means necessary that they made stuff up, which made any of their legitimate concerns seem fake too.
The thing is, they didn't have to make anything up. They could have just stuck to calling balls and strikes, even if they pointed out the strikes more vocally, being as they were the opposition, and people would still trust them now, at least as much as anyone trusts any politician, instead of looking at them like crazy people screaming and setting their own hair on fire.
Gabbard demanded that people be prosecuted over this, which is entirely in AG Pam Bondi's jurisdiction. She may be happy to do something like this and move on from the Epstein debacle. As far as that goes, Trump launched a lawsuit against two Wall Street Journal reporters, News Corp, Dow Jones (the parent group of WSJ and News Corp), and Rupert Murdoch over the Thursday report in the Journal indicating that Trump sent a salacious letter to Epstein in 2003 on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
That case landed on the desk of an Obama-appointed judge Monday morning. Bondi asked for the unsealing of grand jury transcripts.
