May 28, 2025 | 👑 King Charles opens Canada's parliament with a commie land acknowledgement

Brought to you by Meriwether Farms

Hi everyone!

King Charles and his adulterous Queen Camilla were in Ottawa yesterday for the opening of Canada's parliament under new Prime Minister Mark Carney. He started his address to parliament with literally a communist land acknowledgement. While this is a standard thing in Canada, it is still a communist statement indicating that only those so-called indigenous persons have a meaningful connection to the land, which is absurd. No one is indigenous to place going back through bloodline to the beginning of time. Everyone has come from everywhere and has gone everywhere.

"It is with a deep sense of pride and pleasure that my wife and I join you here today as we witness Canadians coming together in a renewed sense of national pride, unity and hope," King Charles said. "I would like to acknowledge that we are gathered on the unceded territory of the Algonquin and the Anishinabek people. This land acknowledgement is a recognition of shared history as a nation, while continuing to deepen my own understanding, it is my great hope that in each of your communities and collectively as a country, a path is found toward truth and reconciliation in both word and deed."

It was his first time visiting Canada as a sovereign and his first time opening parliament and in so doing he gave in to the absurd notion that some Canadians have greater rights to Canada than others and that this distinction is based on some kind of authentic connection to the land that must be determined by blood line. I suppose that, as a man who only has his job because of his own blood line, that makes sense. I prefer the American way. It is not blood that ties us to our nation but a shared belief in our natural rights as laid out in our founding documents.

As a thank you to Meriwether Farms for sponsoring my newsletter all this month, for all of you who subscribe and read this newsletter, and for all of you who love brisket, I'm sharing my brother's brisket recipe. The last time I saw him we just ate this all day and then again for breakfast because it was so good.

Katie Daviscourt was reporting from Seattle last night on the Christian protest that sprung up after a Christian concert on Saturday in the city's Cal Anderson Park was attacked by Antifa militants. 23 people were arrested on Saturday and Mayor Bruce Harrell literally blamed the Christians holding the concert and not the Antifa who attacked them. His statement was absurd over the weekend. Here's Katie's overnight write-up of what went down.

“Today’s far-right rally was held here for this very reason – to provoke a reaction by promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values in the heart of Seattle’s most prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood,” Harrell said following the event on Saturday.

"When the humanity of trans people and those who have been historically marginalized is questioned, we triumph by demonstrating our values through our words and peaceful protest – we lose our voice when this is disrupted by violence, chaos, and confusion," Harrell went on.

Turns out though that despite Harrell's lamentations and rending of garments over Christians daring to have a concert near "LGBTQ+ communities" and "trans neighbors," city officials had previously suggested that the event happen in the park. Event organizers had suggested Pike Street, the location of the iconic Pike Place Market, but an official said that "other Seattle Parks locations" should be considered, including Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill where the event did go forward.

The FBI has decided to investigate "allegations of targeted violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert. Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion." The White House office of faith put out a statement too, condemning "the violent disruption of Seattle’s MayDay USA worship event" and affirming "the fundamental rights to free speech and religious freedom for all Americans, as protected by federal law."

Jack Posobiec was in Poland yesterday delivering a speech at CPAC which you should definitely check out.

It was rainy all day yesterday and I got lost in memories and went looking for some old stories. I was on my way to see a friend one night in New York City when I found a protest unfolding and wrote about it. I've been looking for the story for a while because I remembered that someone who I think is a really good writer told me it was good writing, and that kind of thing sticks with you. I'd forgotten the title, forgotten when it was, but I searched for a bit and finally found it. Protests that year were numerous and all across the country, but this one in November 2020, was striking because it was particularly laissez-faire.

Here's what's on my desk today:
