The Democrats are taking a stab at bringing young American men back to the progressive fold. Looks like they've realized that the Trump-hating Boomers, middle-aged women on anti-depressants, the 0.6% of Americans who are trans and their allies aren't enough to get them back into the White House. The only problem is Democrats have spent more time bashing men over the past decade and a half than courting them.

They Me Too-ed them. They told them to take a step back. They told them they had too much privilege. Complained when they did man-type things, complained when they didn't do man-type things, pushed them further into porn, drugs, and deaths-of-despair, and now they're spending $20 million to try to win them back. I think the damage is already done: Gen Z men skew right, and many are heading back to church.

The Democrats offer shrill moralizing without a real moral foundation: polyamory, divorce, trans, abortion, race-based preference, confusing nonsensical gender roles, and yet somehow they expect young men to want to be part of that? Why would anyone want to be part of a political party that constantly tries to downplay your contribution based solely on your biological sex, or in the case of white young men, your race as well? The Dems threw Minnesota Governor Tim Walz at American men and expected him to deliver that vote while waving his jazz hands and touting tuna tacos.

Now Dems are spending time in luxury hotels to try to figure out just where they went wrong with young men. They're eating short-rib tostones, mini lobster rolls, beef tenderloin, and launching their new initiative "Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan." This is the party that can't even tell you what a woman is, but all of a sudden, when the men turn and walk away, they know what that is. Of course, they still don't know why.

The project is planning to "study the syntax, language, and content that gains attention and virality" in online gaming and social communities. They don't, however, appear to be looking at their own "syntax, language, and content." Joe Biden said Republicans' "idea of being a man is toxic." Gavin Newsom said gun violence is a result of "toxic masculinity." Kamala's loss was said to be a result of "institutional misogyny and toxic masculinity." Expect to see in-game ads from Dems trying to appeal to the fellas.

Maybe they'll do that thing where they tell men how liberating it is when their girlfriend gets an abortion and affirm their kids' gender transition because that's been going great so far. It's been almost 10 years since the Democrats were walloped in 2016, drinking red wine and crying on election night, and while they went all in on "resistance," they still have no idea why they lost and they refuse to listen to anyone who is telling them the reasons.

Chicago Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson celebrated "Africa Day" over Memorial Day weekend. That's not an American holiday, in case you were wondering, and there are 54 different nations on the continent, per the UN. "I am proud to join you in recognizing and celebrating Africa Day. The continent of Africa is made up of 1.2 billion people with diverse countries full of rich traditions, cultures, and heritage," said the mayor who permanently removed all statues of Christopher Columbus from city parks.

"The African diaspora can be found in cities and countries around the globe, and right here in Chicago. Our proud African communities have made indelible contributions to the growth and fabric of our amazing city. So, this Africa Day, let us take a moment to celebrate the achievements of the people of Africa, the progress made by African nations, and the traditions and culture they have shared with us," he said. This is the same guy who is under investigation for race-based hiring practices.
