May 21, 2025 | ⛪️ Trump meets with South African pres, Rogan goes to church

Brought to you by Meriwether Farms

Hi everyone!

Trump is meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa in the White House this morning, where the two men are likely to discuss Trump's refugee program for white, South African Afrikaners. Last week, some 60 people arrived in the US at the invitation of the Trump administration, while, per Raw Egg Nationalist who I spoke with on Timcast's morning show yesterday, said that there were about 70,000 Afrikaners who have applied to become part of the refugee program.

Under the Biden administration, the refugee cap was increased to 125,000 per year, and Biden brought in 197,000 refugees total, many of them coming in from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ramaphosa has called the South African refugees "cowards," said they should stay in the country.

Trump invited them to the US, instead, calling out the new laws in the country that allow the government to take private land without compensation. It's like eminent domain without the cash. If you're around today, I recommend tuning in. I am super curious as to what Trump is going to say to Ramaphosa and how Ramaphosa will answer for the racist crimes that have been happening in his country against the white minority. The two heads of state are having lunch at 11:45. It could be pretty wild.

Just a quick note of thanks to our sponsor, Meriwether Farms. I'm currently defrosting a rib eye steak which I intend to sprinkle with salt, sear on high heat for 3 or 4 minutes on one side, 2 or 3 on the other, and serve with sticky rice (my favorite) and broccoli roasted until the ends are crispy with garlic, green onions and olive oil.

A viral clip yesterday revealed Christian commentator Wesley Huff saying that the number one podcaster in the world has started going to church. This comes just a few weeks after Joe Rogan said on his podcast, "I'm sticking with Jesus." The context of the "sticking with Jesus" moment was during a conversation about the origins of the universe.

"Terence Bucha had a great line about the difference between science and religion, which is that science only asks you for one miracle," Rogan said. "'I want you to believe in one miracle, the Big Bang.'"

"It really is true," he said, "and it's funny, because people would be incredulous about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet they're convinced that the entire universe was smaller than the head of a pin and for no reason than anybody's adequately explained to me that makes sense— instantaneously became everything. I'm sticking with Jesus. Jesus makes more sense."

In a decidedly un-Christian move, Washington State passed a law making it permissible for school employees to delay telling parents their child has been sexually abused at school by a school employee. Schools now have up to 48 hours, two days, to give parents that information. This is totally insane.

The bill says: Schools can delay parents from receiving information about their students and entirely removes access for parents receiving medical and mental health records; removes the requirement to notify parents when their child receives medical services from government employees in schools; allows government employees up to two days to notify parents that their child was the victim of a crime or sexual assault in school; creates significant legal and bureaucratic hurdles for parents seeking to hold schools accountable when rights under I-2081 are violated; and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is granted expanded authority to penalize school districts that fail to comply with its directives.

In other news, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka compared ICE agents to slave catchers, Alina Habba said the charges against LaMonica McIver weren't political but were over actual assaults of law enforcement, and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson was asked by a reporter, "Why are you racist?" I'm coming up at 12 pm today, hosting Timcast's morning show, you can tune in here.

Here's what's on my desk today:
