Hi everyone!
The fearless Katie Daviscourt was out in Seattle last night reporting again from the University of Washington. Riley Gaines and Olivia Krolczyk were set to speak at a TPUSA event, just one night after the violent takeover of an engineering building, costing some $1 million in damages. Both women have been outspoken about the fact that men aren't women (seems obvious, I know), and have fought against policies allowing men who claim to be women to compete in women's sports. In response to their efforts, trantifa activists, that's trans Antifa, protest them everywhere they go.
Last night activists threw poop, actual poop, at TPUSA volunteers who were admitting attendees to the event. Others harassed old women walking to their cars. Others stood around waving flags, cursing out cops, and screaming "God is trans." There's so much to unpack here, as the lefties would say, but the fact of the matter is that for these activists, trans is their religion. They've replaced the soul with gender, replaced God with the self, and see transition as a holy sacrament of initiation. Cross-sex hormones are their communion. Gender euphoria is their Pentecost, and activism is their evangelism. It's a disturbed state of existence, it's a conversion at the tip of a Molotov cocktail. Fundamentally, trans is a lie, and it's one that those who believe in it embrace to the core of their being. We can't go around accepting lies as truth.
War has broken out between India and Pakistan. This comes after the terror attack in the disputed Kashmir region last month that saw many civilians killed, including honeymooners. The last time a conflict flared up for real was in 1999. Now there's conflict in India, Pakistan, Israel, Yemen, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Russia, West Africa, Myanmar, and tensions between China and Taiwan. Am I missing anything? We talked about this on Timcast last night, getting into what would be necessary to drag the US further into all of these conflicts. Right now, we pretty much have the only president out there speaking of a need for peace. And that, of course, is what we all hope prevails. No one else seems particularly interested, though—Zelensky just wants to keep fighting, Israel is looking to flatten Gaza, China wants to annex Taiwan, and no matter where you look, people seem to think the only solution is violence and death. I hope we stay home and stay out of it.
The Papal Conclave is set to start today in Rome, and Jack Posobiec is in the Vatican covering it. He'll be on War Room talking about it and will be covering it on Human Events Daily. What's so interesting to me is that after decades of religious decline both in the US and Europe, those numbers are stabilizing and even growing. Could it be that after all this time of staring into the void, declaring human beings to be the biggest brains in the universe, we're getting some sense back and realizing that it makes less sense to think we were spawned from nothingness than to believe that we were intentionally created?
It is into this climate that the Cardinals will be selecting a new Pope to lead the church that once ruled Europe. Cardinals will wear their robes as they meet in the Sistine Chapel. 133 Cardinals will vote to make the selection, and we could even see the first vote today. There's no time limit on it, either; the voting takes as long as it takes. Could be hours, could be days, could be months. We'll know it's over when white smoke comes out of the chimney. Black smoke means they've burned their ballots, and no one has been chosen.
There's a bit of a conflict in the Church (as in everywhere else), between the liberals and the conservatives. Pope Francis said no to the Latin Mass while American Catholics have been embracing it. Francis was a liberal leader while those who are returning to the church, filling the pews, are coming back not to liberalize it but for the ancient traditions, for the traditionalism, for the guidance of our elders in faith. I find great liberation of soul and spirit in the old traditions that were designed to lead people into faith. It's not easy, but it's far better than the free-for-all alternative that sees us looking to moralize our most base desires and seeking guidance from the senses.
