Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec was attacked on Tuesday when he encountered a rally led by Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin near Union Station in Washington, DC. Jack happened upon the rally after coming out of the station, filmed it, listened for a bit to Raskin, and saw the signs of the union members fighting against the firing of federal workers. Then he asked Raskin why Democrats lost the election and the union guys with their matching signs lost their cool.

"Jamie, why did you lose the popular vote?" Jack asked. "Why did you lose every single swing state?" The crowd, led by the Raskin, began to chant the USA before the unruly mob assaulted and cursed at him, knocking his phone to the ground. Jack later filed a police report. Three men came for him, ripping at his backpack, and dumping his things on the ground.What's most striking in Jack's account is that Raskin did not try to stop it. The video Jack shot attests to this. He just stood there watching as his goons attacked a constituent. That's total madness.

If the Raskin incident is any indication, Democrats are really getting their feet under them to launch violent protests. Illinois Gov JB Pritzker called for mass demonstrations. Maxine Waters is always up for a scrap. And while these lawmakers are all mad at Trump, as are so many of the over-70-protest set, there are still others on the leftist side of things who are advocating for the complete dissolution of the nation.

At a fundraiser for Gaza in Michigan, a guy walking around in a keffiyeh with this keffiyeh-clad lady friend said: "The American empire, that's been hurting our people since the beginning, the imperial western powers that have been hurting our people since the beginning, they must fall." He went on to say that his "message to people of Gaza and oppressed people across the world is that there are people here, both young and old, who are going to be willing to fight and are willing to put their lives and everything they can on the line to bring these empires down. Because they must come down." The white lady with him just looked on silently. Probably she knew her place, and isn't that what progressivism is all about?

You may have seen the reports that Meta has launched chatbots that will talk about sex with teens, and anyone else who engages. Meta calls these bots "synthetic personalities," which screams cyborg takeover to me. I'm really not into the concept of pouring your heart and soul out to a chatbot, even if it does talk to you in the voice of John Cena or Princess Anna from Frozen. Our hearts matter, our hearts have weight, and we already throw our feelings all over the place, but it only spells disaster if we imbue "synthetic personalities" with the capability to love us back. People, I beg you, do not do this to yourselves, do not do it to humanity. We matter too much to throw our love away on manufactured nothingness.
