Human Events Daily host and senior editor Jack Posobiec confronted Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) during a Democrat union workers rally on Wednesday. 

"Jamie, why did you lose the popular vote? Why did you lose every single swing state?" Posobiec shouted, refering to the Democrats' performance in the 2024 election. The crowd, lead by the senator, began to chant USA before the an unruly mob assaulted and cursed at him, knocking his phone to the ground.

Raskin has been a vocal opponent of President Donald Trump and was the ranking member of the Select Committee on January 6.

The violent incent follows earlier reporting on Raskin’s efforts to recalibrate Democratic messaging and tone, apparently to no effect. In mid-January, during a retreat for Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, Raskin invited psychologist Jim Coan and consultant Hal Movius to speak to members, according to Punchbowl News.

Movius is known for his work in “emotional regulation,” “negotiation,” and “organizational development.” The purpose of the session was to guide Democrats on how to manage conflict and navigate what the speakers described as “authoritarian styles of speech.” One attendee told the outlet the experts advised committee members to avoid getting drawn into heated partisan arguments.

According to the source, the session focused on “communication styles during the Trump era” and encouraged a more strategic approach to opposition.
